GASTRONOMIC FEAST ON DAD’S DAY
As June 21st
is approaching quickly, it is possible that many of the moms and children are
wondering now where they could possibly treat the so-called “head of the family”,
“the hero” and “the breadwinner”. But don’t you worry guys as I
might have found the perfect restaurant for you.
Indulge Dad’s
Perfect Day Date in one of the prime restaurants in Kapitolyo, Pasig. The area
is known for its food district but there is one place that stands out for
families. They serve delicious food, provides world-class client care and the Mediterranean
ambiance is simply fantabulous, during dinner time – there is a pianist who
plays too! – I am talking about no other than Café Juanita.
Below are my
personal favorites, do give it a try if you must.
- Catfish Mango Salad – this one is so crunchy and the sourness of the mango and sweetness of tomato compliments so much it will make you breathless. Approximately at Php 336.00
- Dalandan Chicken – by now, you may have an idea that I prefer sour food (haha!). This menu is a deliciously cooked chicken wings with a sweet and sour Dalandan sauce glaze. This is Café Juanita’s take on the Korean Bonchon and the Chinese Lemon Chicken. Approximately at Php 343.00.
- Boneless Bangus – Pan fried boneless milkfish served with vinegar dip sauce. Approximately at Php 304.00.
- Pancit Canton – This is a great Chinese contribution to Filipino cuisine. Canton noodles tossed with meat and vegetables.
- Beverages – Tamarind Shake (oh so sour). If your taste bud cannot tolerate too much sourness, please do not try. I repeat, DO NOT try.
And with all these
delicious dishes, I would prefer a plain rice so that I could taste the flavors
rather than going for a “yada yada” fried rice.
The best part? Even
the yellow light is perfect for picture taking! Now, you may ask Dad to smile
for the camera and take that perfect Dad’s Day selfie.
